Anyone who believed ALGN and their muppet mgmt team kinda deserves getting pooped on. I will admit the CRO's were a big surprise. HCIT was sort in-line, diagnostics also were pleasant surprises.
Genuinely shocked, tools and Dx were a surprise for people. Feels like they've been pretty clear on accelerating demand, especially on the consumables side since Q3/Q4 2024.
1Q sentiment on CRO's made me think the entire sector would face heavy trial cancelations for the entire Trump Admin (since cancelations were correlated with funding cuts for mainly SMB's). same with tools facing a heavier landscape. But perhaps the vol was more sentiment / emotion driven vs fundamentals(?) honestly a fun period to find real winners in a unprecedented time
