A little background story. So basically I was addicted to porn and self-stimulation to the point that it was starting to really hurt my career as well as health. I wasn’t focusing on things that desperately needed my attention (depression after break-up) and would seek refuge in this because it would make everything alright for an hour or so initially... and then it changed into habit. On September 2 last year, I made a decision that I would stop. However, that didn’t last for long as i started backtracking and rubbed one off on 5th of September. That day, I was so dissatisfied and disappointed in myself, that feeling feeling naturally pushed me away. In November, I started wondering if there was something wrong with me since I didn’t have WD for so long so I watched porn again but was able to resist SS. It turned me on and I had WD the next day, as funny as it sounds lol.
I’m single and pure and planning to keep myself that way until after marriage. I’ve been kinda seeing this Muslim girl at my work and fortunately, she doesn’t believe in premarital sex so I guess if it worked out, it would be wonderful.
To anyone out there struggling with bad habits, know that you are limitless and can do anything you put your mind to. It’s okay if you lack the discipline initially and it will be painful. But if you have the hunger for change and willing to go through those initial temporary inconveniences, you can definitely do it, and after some time, it will become your second nature.

There are benefits of masturbation (reduce stress, reduce tension, improve sleep quality, boost concentration and so on) As I've mentioned before you overthink this whole situation with self pleasuring.

I don’t think it’s dirty or a bad habit. Being consumed into it is not healthy at all though and the first step to change things is to admit that you have a problem. I felt dissatisfied and disappointed in myself because that addiction was ruining my professional and personal life. I became a procrastinator as well.
When I took the first step to change that, like I said, it became a second nature not to fap after some time (even though I do get turned on easily).
