You and I might just be karaoke compatible. Look my approach is the playlist should get more ridiculous as the night goes on until you have no shame in belting out Barbie Girl by Aqua. Here are some additions:
If there's rap I have a whole 'nother playlist but it's rare where I go to karaoke.

i found most of these answers are some what “classic” which means on average they are at least 10 years old:)
Karma Chameleon – Culture Club “Hey Jude” by the Beatles “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” by Eurythmics “Killing Me Softly With His Song” by The Fugees “I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor “You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morissette “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd “Old Town Road” by Lil Nas X “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (to Party)” by Beastie Boys “I Think We’re Alone Now” by Tiffany “Mary Jane’s Last Dance” by Tom Petty “Baby Got Back” by Sir Mix-A-Lot “Just a Friend” by Biz Markie “Total Eclipse of the Heart” by Bonnie Tyler “Semi-Charmed Life” by Third Eye Blind “Tubthumping” by Chumbawamba “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson "Everybody Wants To Rule The World” by Tears For Fears “I Love Rock & Roll” by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
In addition to Sweet dreams, plz Comma White/Black and Running to the edge of the world by Manson
I agree, Sweet Dreams by Manson is superior. The intro is just sick by Manson. His intros on Sweet Dreams, Dope Show, Tainted Love are just wicked good.
nice ones. Half of these are exactly what I sang this weekend. Sadly they didn't have Beasties. I felt let down.
The bridge of Killing Me Softly sounds like it would be really hard to do since it's just Lauryn Hill making sounds instead of singing lyrics. Do you ever have trouble with that part?
Oh yeah it could be tough. Definitely doable though if up there singing.
As for me, I just help pick the songs for other people and get hammered. I don’t actually do Karaoke - I’m just there for the experience. I’m a terrible singer. Like - really bad.
This proved to be problematic when learning and speaking Mandarin as it is a tonal language and I’m not good at tones.
Everybody want to rule the world is a wildly underused karaoke song
Nobody has mentioned any Queen tunes yet... weird.
Right? Bohemian Rhapsody was always something we ended the night to...
I've always found Don't Stop Me Now, Under Pressure, and Fat Bottomed Girls to be real crowd-pleasers.
Tarzan Boy- Baltimora
