Absolutely. I could build out this list so much more if I wanted to. One that I forgot that is a bit of a long one and not really country is American Pie.

You and I might just be karaoke compatible. Look my approach is the playlist should get more ridiculous as the night goes on until you have no shame in belting out Barbie Girl by Aqua. Here are some additions:

  • Africa - Toto
  • Free Falling - Tom Petty
  • Don't Look Back in Anger - Oasis
  • Dreams - Cranberries
  • The Downeaster Alexa - Billy Joel (or Uptown Girl)
  • 99 Red Balloons - Goldfinger (or Superman)
  • Blue - Eiffel 65
  • [any random song by Sublime]
  • The Kids Aren't Alright - The Offspring (you need the hype man or group to go "Whoa-Oh")

If there's rap I have a whole 'nother playlist but it's rare where I go to karaoke.

Be excellent to each other, and party on, dudes.

I agree, Sweet Dreams by Manson is superior. The intro is just sick by Manson. His intros on Sweet Dreams, Dope Show, Tainted Love are just wicked good.

The bridge of Killing Me Softly sounds like it would be really hard to do since it's just Lauryn Hill making sounds instead of singing lyrics. Do you ever have trouble with that part?

I’m a fun guy. Obviously I love the game of basketball. I mean there’s more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself. I'm not just gonna give you a whole spill... I mean, I don't even know where you're sitting at

Oh yeah it could be tough. Definitely doable though if up there singing.

As for me, I just help pick the songs for other people and get hammered. I don’t actually do Karaoke - I’m just there for the experience. I’m a terrible singer. Like - really bad.

This proved to be problematic when learning and speaking Mandarin as it is a tonal language and I’m not good at tones.
