I’ve found Facebook markets helpful for sublets. If you’re looking for summer internship housing these will be a better option and they have more potential roommates
the facebook groups have a lot of bots in it. I see people make a post for finding roommate and there are so many fake accounts that comment phishing links...
Agreed that facebook markets are probably the way to go if you’re looking to find a roommate or sublet.
I know at least a dozen people who have successfully found a room from there. LinkedIn is also moreso for professional networking rather than finding housing.
If you think about it, you would want your roommate to be professional too so reviewing their linkedin profile after finding them on facebook is important. But why the extra step when you can just have a private group on linkedin.

I’ve also had a good experience finding roommates using spareroom on top of Facebook groups. Once for sublet and once for a new lease
which group and can you screenshot like a sample post of the comments and interactions. The ones I see are all filled with like spam phishing links or they are clearly sus/ scammers commenting things like "please DM me" or "I have what you want". Instead, the commenter should state more clearly what they are offering and why rather than another interaction to be discussed.
No, if anyone, you sound like spam trying to push LinkedIn housing and trying to solicit random pics of strangers convos. Everyone uses facebook housing groups for roommates and I’m not making money from mentioning that these fb groups are helpful lol

Check facebook, check linkedin, check subreddit, check craigslist, check everything but at end of the day see which experience feels most authentic and real with the least possibility of scammers and bots. Which facebook group did you find the most success since many of them just have bots commenting random phishing links.
