Nice studio (newer building, W/D in unit, full time doorman) in lower manhattan will be 4k+ range need to be at 150k+ total income (preferably 200k+).
Don't really know anyone in a newer 1br in a good location making less than 225k-ish or getting help from parents.
2nd Floor Walk-up 1 bedroom in Chelsea. Smaller kitchen but I don't cook that much. Good building mgmt but not doorman / amenities. Rent is ~$2200. TC is about ~$200k
This seems way under market for a 1br am I missing something?
Rent stabilized unit from covid pricing
I live downtown near City Hall Park. Building has a nice lobby, doormen, gym, rooftop, laundry on each floor.
My studio apartment is tiny though. 332 sq ft. Mt kitchen and bathroom are nice and modern though at least.
I pay $2,700.

Live on a third floor walk up in UES, one bedroom, washer/dryer in building but not in apt for $2700. TC ~$225k. Think UES is pretty good value and good access to midtown with 4/5/6/Q lines. Obviously tougher if having to commute to downtown.
