Mandalorian Season 2 Finale
Anyone else here a fan of the Mandalorian and saw yesterday's episode? Absolutely blew me away; I would consider the second season of this show to be some of the best television ever created. For those that saw it, what were your thoughts of the finale and the season overall?
Mando (especially season 2) is absolute gas and it allows me to forgive Disney for the giant steaming shit they took all over the prequels
And the OT...completely undid the legacy of Anakin with the Sequels.
That's the biggest problem I have with the sequels. They should have just kept Snoke and Kylo as the bad guys.
Loved seeing Luke cut through those Dark Troopers like butter, especially when he used the force to crush the last one.
Someone on YouTube overlayed that scene with the funeral pyre music from ROTJ and it’s absolutely amazing
Frankly speaking, The Mandalorian transformed from gritty and decent to Power Rangers in space. It just looks pretty cheap.
Combat and screenplay are just ridiculous in the second season. Luke's cameo was halfway decent at best. Obviously produced some goosebumps but that's it.
I think this beskar shit has gotten ridiculous he just tanks everything
yeah if it's so good why tf did no one else have it in the other movies
it wasnt shabby but not "best television ever created"
I don't really get what the hype is about this show. Sure its entertaining and fun to see some of the stuff from the old movies, but the first half of this season was pointless, some side mission that has nothing to do with the bigger picture. Also thought a lot of supporting roles acting was really cringy. IMO not good enough to make up for the last three movies lmao.
100%. It's just business, not something groundbreaking at all. Just something to pass the time.
It's really as if you guys haven't watched anything else before except How I Met Your Mother and the Big Bang Theory. Not that it was predictable but definitely not a huge twist. Most of the whole season was just side-quests. Entertaining for sure but not groundbreaking by any means. Season 3 should be interesting now that something is finally happening, but I'm wondering if the after-credits thing will be the real season 3 since Disney didn't mention anything about that last week on their investor day.
Nothing gets me more pumped for Star Wars than a bounty hunting stud in armor saving his cute little green compadre from the most badass meth & chicken dealer the galaxy has ever seen, beautifully combined with a PS1 quality CGI Luke Skywalker cameo. Was the best episode of the season IMO, but that's not saying much sadly.
Edit: here's the best summary of the entire season IMO - in short, good nostalgia but weak writing as a whole
