NYC Roommate July '25

Hi - I'm 23M and a '23 grad moving with my firm to NY from LA. I'm starting early Aug so mid-late July is ideal for move-in. Working near Grand Central and would prefer sub-15 minute walk so looking at Murray Hill/Kips Bay/Turtle Bay.

Enjoy going out, going to the gym, trying new restaurants, etc. Let me know if interested and happy to chat further.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Murray Hill, Kips Bay, and Turtle Bay are excellent choices for someone working near Grand Central. Murray Hill, in particular, is a popular area for young professionals due to its proximity to Midtown offices, vibrant nightlife, and a range of housing options. You can expect rents to range around $1.5k-$2.25k per person if you have roommates, or $2k-$3k if you plan to live alone.

If you're looking for roommates, you might want to consider posting in roommate threads or forums like the ones on WSO. Sharing details like your budget, preferred number of roommates, and any specific requirements (e.g., gender preferences, cleanliness, etc.) can help you find a good match. Additionally, platforms like StreetEasy or subletting options mentioned in WSO threads could be useful for finding housing within your desired timeframe.
