Oh Canada
I've been doing a lot of reading lately and it seems a lot of people see a similar bubble scenario happening in Canada. The question is, how low can it go? Should we expect hippies all over Canada? I just see it as a sick profit making opportunity!
Please provide clarification on the following statements:
Similar bubble (similar to what?) How low can it go (What's it?) i see it as a sick profit making opportunity (have you traded this position yet or are you seeking clarification on it?)
I think he's talking about housing.
I'm confused, he says 'bubble' (of what TBD) and 'how low can it go?'. Is this some kind of cave bubble, often referred to as a dip?
My bad my initial post was not very clear, I'm indeed talking about the canadian housing bubble. And when I mean how low, it was how low can the canadian market crash ? can we see a 2007 repeat? I'm up about 100bps on a long position in the USDCAD. I'm hoping for a 1.1 level in the next month.
I want there to be a huge correction in the market, but I have a feeling it'll be more of a slow descent. As for how low, I have no idea what the floor could be. Over the last 10 years, in some parts, prices have doubled; whereas incomes have barely kept up with inflation.
