Only In America...

This is disgusting. Shows everything that's wrong with our bloated bureaucracy and the people that live in this country. And the fact is, the woman has a point. The money is entitled to her because she's still unemployed, despite receiving a FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLAR CHECK FROM THE GOVERNMENT. So she might as well use it.
The quotes in the article are priceless.
(I'm not saying, of course, that welfare has no purpose and does no good).
why u racist bro?
This mindset has infected much of America. Looking into the past - being destitute was a source of tremendous shame. That was the thought process of the greatest generation. Now it's almost celebrated in the idea that "it's beyond ones control, the economy, insert bullshit rationalization here." These fucking people make me sick.
I don't know about you guys, but personally I feel great knowing that my tax dollars are going to people like this:

Clayton told WDIV she had wanted to continue using a food-assistance card until it is cut off. "It's hard. I am struggling."
===================
Theres' just no hope
If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'!
Why is she allowed to keep the lottery winnings? As a ward of the state, her parent the state should have all the proceeds.
Only responsible people are adults. This woman is a child and has stolen money from her parents.
"Asked if she had the right to the public assistance money, Clayton answered, "I kind of do. I have no income, and I have bills to pay. I have two houses."
Hmmmm.... why doesn't she just sell a house....
Hahaha my thoughts exactly. I read that in the article and almost shit my pants laughing. WTF does she think "struggling" means?
I didn't think of that, but I imagine it'd raise a lawsuit pretty quickly. Wouldn't her parent then be responsible for her actions too, much like how parents are taken to court over what their children do nowadays? It could be a pretty messy situation...
And I'm surprised she wasn't reprimanded more, to be honest. She was supposed to report within 10 days any change in income, and she failed to do so. I mean I'd understand it if she was wary to report getting a part time job or something, but winning the fucking lottery?! REALLY???
Psh everyone needs at least a second cottage, although a second home is preferrable. It's almost a necessity nowadays. Haven't you heard of "Second Habitat for Humanity" ?? It's like Habitat for Humanity, but it takes care of all the poor bastards who only have ONE house.
This is just classic. Makes me want to watch Cinderella Man again.

I consider a parent being someone who feeds you, clothes you and puts a roof over your head. Sounds like Michigan to me. Funny how this women needs all this assistance, but still spends money on the lottery. Every penny of hers should go into getting out of poverty and her kids, not frivolous games.
How can she sue anyway? Only adults can sue and she is obviously a dependent.

Oh no! Whatever will she do?????
Why did she have two houses?
