Puerto Rico Trip Itinerary Recs

Going to Puerto Rico with a group of friends at the end of March for 5 days. Working on putting an itinerary together. We want a good mix of beach time, doing stuff in the city, and doing something in the jungle like hiking to a waterfall or zip-lining or something.

Our Airbnb is above San Juan near the beach on Parque Isla Verde. We were thinking of doing the jungle stuff at El Yunque National Forest.

Anyone have any good recs for things to do, and see? Would it be worth it to get a day pass for a cool beach resort? Any cool places to go out at night? Thanks

la placita and old san juan are the two spots to go out. its close enough that u can hit both if u didnt like one of them. both are small blocks with a few bar/clubs. The former seems to me had a little more locals while the latter more touristy. Also would recommend renting a car and hitting the other beaches on the island. Crash boat was my personal fav.

a day tour in el yunque was cool which was like 50bucks and included jumping off water falls n stuff. Personally wouldn’t spend more than a day there tho, would rather check out some more beaches since they’re are pretty unique
