Risk = Return?
Can risk and return be used interchangeably, i.e. do they essentially describe the same idea but just from another point of view? They don't, do they? I'm a little confused as I read that past betas (e.g. past 2-5 years) aren't reliable as historical equity returns may not be a good indicator for future returns.
