Scary Stories?
Any scary stories out there? When I'm bored I listen to creepy "true" horror stories on YouTube, and was wondering if anyone had any personal scary stories to share. Almost got kidnapped as a kid? Home intruder in your closet? Creepy stalker on the street at night? Curious to hear if anyone has anything to share.
I was snowboarding at Big Bear Mountain in California and a large bear ran right across the slope in front of me and I almost hit it and then avoided it while going very fast and that was it. Horrific for a few milliseconds when I was like wtf a bear?!? lol

A couple in my life that were genuinely scary:
-Big shootout took place across the street from my house. Like automatic gunfire big. My neighborhood has had its ups and downs but this was completely unheard of. The place took a few stray bullets. One went right through the window above our kitchen sink, dead center. We ate/cleaned up less than an hour before. If we ate a bit later, my mom woulda been cleaning dishes right there and may have been shot in the head.
-Was in Europe with some friends and went hiking in a pretty remote spot, we lost the trail and got completely lost for like four hours with zero cell reception and no sense of direction on the side of this mountain. Was starting to get cold/dark, and we just picked the direction that seemed right and went in it around the side of the mountain and down, through this little field of really sharp plants, and hit the road that we drove down and were able to walk a couple miles back to the car. We were at the point where we were thinking about conserving water and finding a source.
-Not a real scary story, but I remember when I was 12 listening to my parents freak out when their investment account took gigantic losses (I think it was around a 60-70% hit) during the 07-08 recession and their discussions about us almost losing our house because we couldn't afford the mortgage after they both saw lower annual incomes and needed to have cash in the bank. That was like real life scary.
