Screwed up today (summer intern)
Hey all summer intern here who fucked up today. Worst part was that I feel like I let my boss down. Any advice on how to go forward?
I fucked up copy and pasting some values over into a spreadsheet and it throw off our power point. I had to go back and redo everything. Had a long day.

We've all messed up at some point. Don't sweat it.
Probably everyone has done that at some point lol.
Next time, I recommend pressing "CTRL+~" when you finish spreadsheets to look for continuity of formulas/constants where they're supposed to be. It transforms cells to the inner code, but press the shortcut again, and it reverts back to normal (with no formatting changes made). Really useful to audit work so something like this doesn't happen again...which is the more important thing here.
It's okay to make a mistake. It's not okay to make the same one.
What Juan said: Associates/Analysts have all been there. Be extra vigilant in not making the same mistake twice.
Did something similar my summer and got the return. Learn from it and don't obsess over it.
Always print and go through with a calculator and highlighter before giving it to anyone else. People won't care about the extra 30 minutes they'll care that it's right.
Something like that happened to me at the beginning of this summer. Manager wasn't really mad just wanted me to redo it.
Seems like an entry better suited for your diary rather than on an online finance forum.

Just keep your head down and keep grinding. If you get caught up on all these little mistakes it will be tough to make it in the industry. Like others have said.. learn from it and move on.
