Snitching on networking calls?

Today I got on a call with a kid who told me he’s recruiting FT as a backup for his BB SA. Went around and talked to the guys next to me and he said he already contacted opposite firm’s HRs on kid’s name who try to network before their summer starts.

I mean who tf does that, what a dick move. Wanna know what others think, I personally avoid jeopardizing futures of these kids.

Bro sitting next to me snitched on kids who try to recruit FT at our bank before they start their SA with another bank

Your coworker is a dick. Is recruiting for FT before your SA stint a bad look? Yes. Is screwing over some kid that's trying to guarantee his career way worse? Definitely

Can I pm you because I’m stressing that it was me? Truly meant no harm just hard trying to make a decision years down the line for that of a 20 year old…

Reminds me of when bankers took vacation time, and then the entire time he was away, everyone else was trying to take his job, or his deal/client, etc, and put serious effort into sh*tting on him to seniors, in a ploy to sabotage, or otherwise eliminate the competition -- in some cases, after he returned from vacation, his time was short, and it resulted in many being afraid to take off a day or to ever go on vacation. It used to happen fairly often, but I always felt it was a dirty move.

If my coworker pulled that shit, I’d casually let the other associates or VPs know at the next happy hour so they know who the snakes are on the team
