Studying Abroad | Where Should I Go?

If I am pursuing a career in finance and I like economics, markets, banking, PE, alternative investments, etc etc.

What are a handful of locations across the world that may be good for me to go to? IE cities that a lot of banking goes on or there is some niche related finance. For example, Italy's stock exchange, Palazzo Mezzanotte or Palazzo di borse, is in Milan.

London, areas in middle east, Shanghai, Japan, Switzerland those are banking hotspots, however I would recommend going to a country you want to visit and learn about the culture and people, it will give you perspective on how their economy operates and you'll be able to learn the niche finances related to that country.  Banking is everywhere and the more perspectives you get the more you will be able to apply that knowledge to your work and perspectives. For ex. Saudi's developments are rapidly increasing and middle eastern business practices are very different from the west, having that knowledge of how their economy operates might help you with structuring a deal with a country in the gulf. Essentially it's more about the mindset going in to exchange than just the destination.

You haven't said where you are from, so how do we know what is abroad?

If you're in Europe, study abroad in America

Yeah if he is from Italy, I think the obvious choice would be to go to NYC.

How about study abroad in Spain or France?

Yeah Spain is highly recommended. I studied in Valencia, Spain for 6 months through this program. Was a blast!

Classic WSO - new user creates a thread, poses a question with not enough info and then never comes back.
