Suggestions: Cheap Vacation Spots (3-4 Days)

I may have a open weekend or two this coming winter as it is my final semester of school. What are some good spots to head to to escape the cold which are pretty budget friendly?

Took a trip to San Juan in Oct which was awesome, and would definitely go back again but would like to try something new. Also been to Vegas quite a bit so that is out of the question.

Budget would be around 300-350 for a flight, ~100 a night for a hotel.

Thanks!

Personally I'd like to check out the Florida Keys (Key west etc.). Its definitely within your budget. I plan on doing a NY-FL roadtrip this December. Fuck the TSA.

Another suggestion is Cayman Islands.. You may want to find a hotel along the 7 mile beach area since you are pressed for time. Otherwise stay in a non touristy area along the East end.

Other cheap places that are warm.. Bahamas.. PR.. (i've never been to these though..)

Key West is a blast, if you do it definitely fly in to the mainland, rent a convertible and do the drive down the Keys (don't forget the SPF).

If you're doing the Caribbean, I've always rented houses rather than gone to a hotel; much preferable in my opinion. Get a few buddies to come along and it should be affordable, especially if you're going on one of the slower weekends.

I second Vegas as a vacation spot, but it definitely doesn't fall into the "cheap" category. Sure you can fly in and stay for the type of budget he's talking about, but Vegas is like no place else on the planet in enticing you to spend money once you're there. The casinos, the nightclubs, the women - everything is shiny, perfect, and expensive. It's a blast, but it's also a great place to blow some money.
