TD Securities in London?

I received an offer for a Corporate Coverage at TD Securities London and the pay is just off market compared to other banks.

It seems too good to be true but the London Team is really small (they just have Coverage, DCM, FX, M&A) and opps don’t appear to be huge other than progressing in coverage.

Does anyone have any experience with them?

Do you know if they provide any opportunities to relocate to Asia as it’s my long term plan?

Alternatively, do you think it would be possible to lateral into their IB side (DCM or M&A) after a year or two? Would it be easier as Associate or VP?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, TD Securities in London is known for having a smaller team compared to other banks, with a focus on Coverage, DCM, FX, and M&A. While the compensation might seem attractive, the smaller size of the team could limit exit opportunities beyond progressing within Coverage.

Regarding relocation to Asia, there isn't specific information in my knowledge base about TD Securities facilitating such moves. However, as with most banks, relocation opportunities often depend on internal networking, performance, and the bank's needs in the desired region. If Asia is your long-term goal, it might be worth discussing this during your onboarding or with HR to understand the feasibility.

As for lateraling into their IB side (DCM or M&A), it is generally possible to make such moves internally, especially if you build strong relationships and demonstrate relevant skills. Moving as an Associate or VP might be easier, as you would have more experience and a proven track record by then. However, keep in mind that internal mobility can vary by bank and team dynamics, so it's crucial to network internally and express your interest early on.
