Is this really where we are now? - Democrat candidate Charles Booker from Kentucky runs ad with a rope around his neck
I guess this clown went to Juicy Smoolyay's class on how to win friends and influence people. I cant help but wonder how effective this line of attack will be against Rand Paul, the guy who literally sponsored the Justice for Breonna Taylor Act (who is also the most based Republican candidate alive after his father in my opinion). This is just so painfully cringe it almost makes me look forward to seeing what else Dems come up with as attack vectors headed into the midterms.
The entire premise of his ad is that Paul blocked an anti-lynching bill... but Paul's entire reasoning was that the bill itself was loosely worded and allowed for too wide an interpretation of what "lynching" is, essentially that it didn't go far enough. Not to mention lynching itself hasn't been a thing for like 40+ years. This ad is made even more ridiculous when you look two steps further and see this:
Sen. Paul has supported, and is cosponsoring, the latest iteration of the bill after working with Democrat Senator Cory Booker and Republican Senator Tim Scott to strengthen the language.
Sen. Booker has praised the Kentucky senator for his work on the legislation, which is titled the Emmett Till Antilynching Act.
“The effort to pass anti-lynching legislation has spanned more than a century. After 200 failed attempts, Congress is now finally prepared to reckon with America’s history of racialized violence,” said Sen. Booker in a press release in March. “I am proud to announce Senators Paul and Warnock as cosponsors of the Emmett Till Antilynching Act. Their support underscores the bipartisan backing that we have to finally meet this moment and help our nation move forward from some of its darkest chapters.”
Sen. Paul’s Deputy Campaign Manager Jake Cox referred to Booker’s commentary as a “desperate misrepresentation of the facts.”
Misrepresentation is an incredibly generous characterization in my opinion. Is this a sign of how desperate the left is becoming? Is this one candidate just a moron? Both?

This post is why the history of segregation needs to be taught. Ahmaud Aubrey was lynched like 2 yrs ago, the buffalo shooter was like 2 wks ago
Not a lynching and the fact you're trying to make that claim shows you haven't read a single fact from the case. It was tragedy where everyone involved was in the wrong, violating the law in various capacities, and someone unjustifiably lost their life. I completely support charging the men involved with homicide and putting them in prison, but the case does not even remotely approach a lynching when you look at the facts.
Buffalo was a mass shooter... not a lynching either. So you don't even know what the word means clearly. I bet you thought the NASCAR garage door pull was a lynching too.
Wtf was a vigilante murder of a black guy by two white dudes because he looked “suspicious” .Lynching is an act of domestic terrorism designed to intimidate black people. A white supremacist murdering black people falls in that vein
How was everyone in the wrong? Dude they rolled up on a black dude they thought was suspicious despite 911 telling them not to and then murdered him.

Emmit till was lynched and his killers bragged about it and fuck all happened. The people who enabled that shit are still alive
The Emmit Till murder was almost 70 years ago and the woman involved recanted. I'm almost certain all the men who were involved are either already dead or close it, not sure what you mean by "the people who enabled it". The name of the bill Rand just co-sponsored is literally called the Emmett Till Antilynching Act and is bolded in the OP. Are you illiterate?
The lady recanted like a few years ago on her death bed. Also Biden is was born like a year apart from till. That shit wasn’t that long ago. I’d recommend talking to some black people instead of watching fox
Paul said he would’ve opposed the civil rights act. While he did support the later bill, I’m not sure how much credit we can give him for banning lynching
Everything you talk about on here is political
I post when I’m taking a shit
And have you even bothered to read his reasoning or are you just going to go off the tagline and assume the worst? The entire basis of his opinion was that the government should not be given precedent to tell private business they are not allowed to refuse service or limit speech within the confines of their own, non-publicly-funded space. He wholly supports the banning of discrimination in any government-supported spaces and is vocally against racism, sexism, and other forms of discrimination. It's a purely Libertarian position.
That’s a retarded take. So he thinks that private businesses should be allowed to discriminate on the basis of race/sex because of his ideology of “choice”? And you’re endorsing that?
Got it, so both you and him are okay with segregating restaurants, neighborhoods, and businesses? As long as it's not a government area?
That's the problem with libertarians. They think that every problem, even segregation in this case, will magically solve itself without the government doing anything. But history shows us that is very much not true.
