That feel when you're talking to an MD..

..and he all-but says to your face that you're not getting hired.

Was at a MM today for a second round, dude said he "thinks I'd be a good asset in the industry, and will keep my information for others in the sector if they don't have an opening at the moment."

Well thanks, bro. I drove all the way to Houston to get rejected after 30 minutes.

Feels bad man. On to the next one, but this was my dream job.

Pic unrelated. Just found it on the local University's c: drive

Sounds like a pain in the ass to drive there for something that could've probably been done over the phone, but trust me, this is nothing man.

I've been getting shat on too, applying for SA's. Credit Suisse straight up withdrew my application after two weeks after notifying me I have to schedule an interview when the slots are open (which they never were).

3.83 GPA, business/finance and computer science, extensive work experience in military and civilian coming from non-target.

Don't fucking suck next time. You can have all your little stats you want, if the guy doesn't like you in person there is nothing you can do.

Well said. If you get to the interview, it means that you are at least technically competent. The rest is on whether the guy on the other side of the table, likes you or not. And there is nothing you can do, if he decides not to hire you.
