The reforms are starting to kick in.

Since january 2012, cubans are allowed to OWN property.

If you're a foreign company, you can invest there (example: the governement will rent you a spot for 50 years - for a hotel or any other business).

And many others things.

In Havana, the buildings haven't been re-touched since 40-50 years. The hotel built by Al capone is still the same, right infront of the sea.
