More people in the US are killed by random mass shooting every year by legally-owned guns then in the attacks in Paris, and that constitutional protection is untouchable.
At the same time, the constitutional protection of millions of Americans can just be thrown out the window based on fear and the outside possibility someone might do something, based purely on their religion.

If they're U.S. citizens then no, I don't support it. Non-U.S. citizens don't have the same rights as citizens. I'm not saying it would be effective, but I have no problem with intensive monitoring of foreign national Muslims in the United States.

We need to secure our borders, not take in refugees until we have a better idea of what's going on, and be super aggressive against terrorists and those who aid them. However, implementing a national database to track and monitor the activities of Muslims residing in the U.S. is crossing the line. FDR was wrong to intern Japanese-Americans during WWII (2/3 of whom were U.S. citizens), and Trump is wrong here to propose this. I also have a hard time believing that the Supreme Court would approve of this; even with a conservative court, this would probably be a unanimous or 8-1 decision.
I don't think we should be allowing Islamic immigration to our country at all. That's definitely within the power of Congress. But that's another discussion.
Trump's just pandering to morons. He's not winning the primary for reasons such as this. It's not only incendiary and wrong, but blatantly illegal as well.

I think the anti-Muslim/Syrian people should be consistent in their hate. Therefore, you should STOP using Youtube IMMEDIATELY as it was created by a Muslim (Karim Jawed), stop using Apple products as Steve Jobs's is half Syrian, stop using Arab numerals (i.e. regular numbers, 0 to 10) and start using roman numerals, stop teaching Algebra to your kids as it was Muslims who came up with it, if you're in Chicago you cannot visit the Sears Tower (the second-tallest building in the United States) as the structural engineer who designed it was a Muslim, etc etc etc.
