Warren Buffett wants to punish Wall Street?

Sorry if I'm stealing your fire on this Edmundo, but I found parts of this interview surprising. I think most of the people on this board would agree that punishing Wall Street is nothing but scapegoatism to appease the masses but it would appear that the old Nebraskan thinks otherwise. Seeing as he is such an influential figure in finance, what do you guys think of this?

Found the video interesting. I think Buffett is a legitimately humble guy, and that's refreshing. Didn't really see where he was advocating punishing Wall Street.

Did I miss it?

Come on, do you really believe he's a "legitimately humble guy?"

The guy is just another asshole trader who plays up this "aww shucks, good ol' fashioned country-fried American values" persona so he can get on TV and talk his book.

I mean, shit - he used an insurance company to fund the construction of one of the largest personal fortunes the world has ever seen. He's no worse than anyone else, but using granny's fucking long term care policy to fund your takeovers doesn't exactly make you Jesus Christ reborn.

U guys are so dramatic when it warren buffet. You'd think there'd be some sort of legitimate reason for all the hate, but nope. Guess thats wso for ya.

Can you read? I just laid out the "legitimate reason for hate". Buffett is a crony capitalist, using his connections in government to make himself wealthy. Buffett isn't sitting behind a computer making computer trades--he's wining and dining with the world's most powerful people and government officials to ensure that none of his investments are risks--they are all sure things.

He does what few others can do--he uses his contacts and influence in government to enrich himself. Case in point, TARP in 2008 made Buffett vast sums of money after he spent much time and money lobbying Congress to bail out his investment positions.

The world would be better with the expiration of people like Buffett.

I also watch this video. I think Buffett has just pointed out some mismanagement and he is absolutely right. This kind of mismanagement have already created some issues and If this mismanagement continue then this could be a bigger issue in near future.
