What are the perceived benefits of pursuing a CPA and CFA jointly? What career would ideally require both??
It seems redundant but none the less I see a ton of people on LinkedIn with it… so I thought I’d ask?

I think a lot of these people got their CPA first and then wanted to jump to finance and got the CFA.
Agree with the above, people get their CPA right out of college, realize they don't want to do accounting, and do CFA to rebrand
Wouldn't recommend either unless you're going on specific tracks that require CFA (asset management) as CPA is useless in finance and CFA is a many years long effort that a lot of finance jobs do not care about
Is CFA also seen as useful for equity research?
Yeah ER will look for it as well
