Family on Christmas - Close friends on NYE. Probably staying 'home' and cooking, drinking, etc. vs going out. In the last few years it's just gotten... somehow consistently worse everywhere you go. It's obscenely expensive, packed, and frankly just not as much fun as it used to be.

Yeah pretty much taking it easy. I have some time off work and am going to just chill and play poker. Going to Christmas Eve mass with my dad tomorrow, then cooking Christmas dinner (just some filet mignon steaks). No plans for NYE. I kind of like staying in these days.

House party to start with 30-40 friends and friend of friends in Manhattan. Will migrate out to bars/clubs after 12 when they stop charging 150+ just to get in.
