What's The Benefit of Obscuring Profits?
This is probably very basic stuff, but what is the motivation behind a company showing smaller profits than what it actually made? E.g. when a pharmaceutical company includes R&D in its operating expenses instead of treating it as capital expenses and writing in off over time?
