I was walking home one day and this random lady told me I have nice eyebrows and I should walk with my head up to let people see them.
A few years back I went out clubbing with a mixed group of friends (London). Then this dude comes up to our group, thought he'd hit on our resident fake barbie. But instead he comes to me and wanted my number. I am not into guys, but the compliment was that this guy was really, really attractive and the girls were only talking about him for the rest of the night. The girls even wanted to get to know him, but that was a pointless avenue for them.

Whenever I get blood drawn the nurse or whoever more often than not will say 'you have beautiful veins'. Strange if you don't consider the context

My gf at that time (now wife) told me also that, many years ago. She is a doctor, so probably was not meant as a compliment, but as a professional observation ha ha!

How often are you getting blood drawn?
"I don't care about your looks. I like you for your personality." This has been said to me by 3 or so former gfs. Women don't realize that it's the least sexy thing they could say to a man.
Did they say it because you're ugly and wanted to make you feel better? Or because they really meant it?
Not to make me feel better. As an unsolicited statement of fact. "Yeah, that was a funny episode. Ya know, I don't even care about your looks. I like you for your personality." They think it's a compliment, but no man--or woman, for that matter--wants to be told they are not desired at all for their physical contributions. It's an unintentional, back-handed compliment. Ladies, don't say that to a man. Just don't.
Is that because you're not particularly handsome or is it because you're a very good looking guy and your GFs didn't want to come off as being shallow? Both happens btw.
1) is more sincere. and 2) is more like "Wow Milton is crazyyy hot but I don't want him to think that I'm a shallow girl who only cares about looks."
Let's put it this way, zero women have ever complimented my appearance (with the exception of a few "drunk goggle" moments).

I've also gotten this. And then guys make jokes about using a lot of lotion for a certain activity. Now I just try to pretend I'm a hand model since it's only ever said to me when shaking hands as an intro at parties.

I've heard this since I was in high school. Gay guys have no shame and it has been said to me in front of other people. Why is it that gay men can say just about anything and its hilarious, but a guy could never say 'I wanna f-her right in the p----y' and have it ever be ok in a group of people?
Not a verbal compliment but visited China when I was ~8 and there were multiple groups of 20 something year old local women that stopped my parents to ask if they could take a picture with me (?? they thought I looked "exotic/cute" or some shit when im literally just half white half asian). Also went to c some film on that trip and another native sitting in the row directly behind me was telling my parents how cute I was and tried to pet my hair. Felt like a zoo animal at the time but funny as fuck reflecting back.
