When interacting with higher ups, is it a good idea to be hyper agreeable, and not disagree even when there's something that I can discern is incorrect?
When interacting with higher ups, is it a good idea to be hyper agreeable, and not disagree even when there's something that I can discern is incorrect? I was watching a video that described how to be liked and to cause less friction with your boss, you should be very agreeable and friendly. Is this true? But based on interacting with MDs and partners, this is the vibe I get.
Also, how do you approach peers (people your level), and possibly those lower? What's the good way to try to interact with these people.
I’m an intern too but it feels like the answer is it depends on the senior. Some might like the bootlicking, others might prefer someone who can pushback. May be best to default to the first until you know them well enough to discern their preferred style(?)
Intern as well, following this. Manager is very nice and friendly but im not sure how much i should "suck up" to her.
