Where to live in London as an Analyst

I am joining an IB near Liverpool Street as an A1 and I am wondering where the best places to live are? I'd like to live in zone 1, ideally north of the Thames. Where do most junior bankers live? Also, would Angel, Farringdon, Shoreditch etc be nice areas?

Lol, I’m an analyst in LDN but idk where anyone lives. I live an hour and a half away, but it barely matters because of WFH.

Fair point, not sure what the WFH policy is in LDN. Do you mind if I ask which year you are and if you work at a BB/EB? Have you been told you can WFH permanently or indefinitely? Just trying to get a sense of the the working situation will be for 2022.

I work in AM, I didn’t realize you were in IB. My company will be doing wfh for the next few months at least from what I hear then they plan to move to hybrid. I doubt it’ll be like that for you, you should find something within 30-45 minutes maximum, and ideally sub 25. Shoreditch would be a nice shout.

That’s what I was thinking when people were saying taking bus hahaa, it’s got to be a quick underground trip or DLR. Taking bus early in the morning on a workday in the City really wouldn’t be wise.
