Who are your top ten rappers of all time?
I'm very curious to see what y'all will pick, since everyone is usually pretty open minded and unique with their lists and goats :)

you gave your age away, but you spit that hot fire.
Yung Gravy = underrated
Reggie, Jay-Z, 2Pac, and Biggie, Andre from OutKast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas, and then me.
But in this industry I'm the cause of a lot of envy
So when I'm not put on this list the shit does not offend me
That’s why you see my walk around like nothing’s bothering me, even though half you people got a fucking problem with me
This man knows.
Swishahouse. Three Six. Aftermath.
Edit: and exactly what WolfofWSO just said.
Jack Harlow, Post Malone, and 8 others that aren't black.
White boy summer incoming
Kollegah, Bratan, Hafti, all GOATS. Even if I hate to admit it, SpongeBozz is indeed fucking fire.
forgot about Fler (inventor of trap and rap in general to be fair)
I don’t listen to rap much anymore - as I’ve matured, I don’t find hearing the “n word” every other line as pleasant to listen to.
That being said, Future, Young Thug, and Lil Baby are all in my top Spotify Artists all time.
I would say Jay-Z is one of the greatest rappers ever. He’s not someone I listen to, but you can’t deny his greatness. Same with Biggie and Tupac. Eminem belongs in the Top 10 as well. I would put Drake there as well, even though I’m not a big fan of his. He has so many bangers that it would be asinine to leave him off the list. Lil Wayne deserves a spot in the Top 10 100%. In no particular order, below are who I believe must be included in a Top 10.
Tupac
Biggie
Jay-Z
Eminem
Lil Wayne
Drake
Kanye
Future (bottom of Top 10)
Kendrick Lamar is probably worthy of the Top 10 discussion, but I feel like he’s similar to some older rappers that are great rappers, but I just don’t find anything special about them.
Below are my favorite rappers in order (more or less):
Old Post Malone (Stoney is his best work)
Chiddy Bang
Machine Gun Kelly (Lace Up)
Rich Homie Quan
Ace Hood
Young Thug
Kevin Gates
Old Eminem (Lose Yourself, Not Afraid, etc.)
Lil Baby
Future used to be my go-to back when I was a toxic fuccboi in college. Same with Travis Scott. Migos also slapped.
I'd add Warren G to the old-school ones.
I used to hate drake but he’s got the bangers. His verse in life is good is one of my all time faves
Damn never thought I would see the names Ace Hood and Rich Homie Quan ever again
If Weezy isn't on your list, then your list is wrong.
Young Thug is the songbird of our generation.
Rappers, not artists and musicians...
In no order
Jay-z
Busta Rhymes
Eminem
Nas
Mos Def
Andre 3000
Logic
The Wu Tang Clan (take your pick)
Kraze Bone
Twista
Twista is good. I used to listen to Adrenaline Rush in HS on my 2 12s.
love it. college for me..brings me back.
Most of these are rappers who have made timeless music that deeply resonates with hip hop culture. Top 10, no order:
- Nas
- Jay Z
- Andre 3000
- Eminem
- Biggie Smalls
- Scarface
- Common
- Kendrick Lamar
- Tupac
- DMX
Honorable mentions: Rakim, Busta Rhymes, Lupe Fiasco, Mos Def, Lil Wayne, LL Cool J, TI, Ice Cube, Snoop
Groups that weren't included because they're groups not individuals: UGK, A Tribe Called Quest, Outkast, Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep
Rappers who make empty music such as Drake and Future don't belong anywhere near top 10s. Although I like both of these guys, Hip Hop would be just fine if they never rapped a single line - some would argue Hip Hop would've benefited if they never rapped a single line.
Thanks for finally mentioning Tribe Called Quest on this thread.
Damn this is close to my list. +1 for Scarface, he never gets that respect
Chet Hanx
Snoop should be top 10
Snoop isn't a t-10 rapper of all time. He is one of the most famous and Chronic/Doggystyle are culture defining albums but he has released a ton of garbage during his career. I'd say he belongs somewhere in the top 20.

Biggie
Tupac
Eminem
Nas
Jay-Z
Andre 3000
Method Man
Mos Def
Prodigy
Busta Rhymes
pretty solid list
Del the Funky Homosapien almost got Prodigy's spot, I am conflicted about it. Busta has too many outrageously creative lines to not be in the top 10 though.
Juice wrld
In order:
1) Jay-Z
2) Nas
3) Black Thought (of the Roots)
4) Andre 3000
5) Notorious B.I.G.
6) Scarface
7) J. Cole
8) Ghostface Killah
9) Kendrick Lamar
10) Kool G Rap
my guy you put in too much work for such a shit quality post
Gunna
Future
Lil Baby
Young Thug
Drake
Kanye West
Don Toliver
In this thread: snobby rap "purists" insisting the stuff you like isn't really rap because the farthest they've dug into some of your favorite rappers is radio hits.
