Who take care of you when you are sick?

Hi this is probably kind of dumb questions and I'm just curious mostly.

I've heard and take noticed that a lot of IB working at such a long hours.

I've always wanted at least trying to get into IB or ER, but the more I think the more it got me to think. Despite of making a ton of money and prestigious career path you are in. Who take care of your when you are sick and how does that work? If you could barely have time for anything from what I heard.

I used to grew up/ currently having dinner family daily no matter how late it is. Even if I come home late from school, I still have dinner with family with home cook meal on a daily with fresh vegetables and hot meal. My family are not rich nor make a lot of money, we barely make end meet sometimes but I couldn't get my head around with the intent working hours nor not being able to spend time with family.

Just curious, more specifically for people who is single and live by themselves.

I just came back from a funeral and sitting in my car. Just thought to myself, I went to enough funeral where I've only heard of the time they spend with family and small memory. It's just someway contradict to wanting to make a lot of money. Money can not buy time, but time is money. I always wanted to be a wife and a mom, then the thought of working long hour and my husband eating left over meal or eating alone, doesn't sit well with me. For people who is married, Would you change anything about what you are currently doing now if you could ?

Thank you in advance for answering the questions!

Yeah yourself unless you have a gf bf. Honestly, I never get sick, but when I do I am so miserable. Growing up with such a loving mother really made me feel the TLC from my Mom when I was sick. The show to watch was the Price is Right. I'd camp out on the couch all day and eat chicken noodle soup and have honey lemon tea.

You take care of yourself because you're an adult and it's 2025? At least that's the assumption.
