I would say given current state of markets, unlikely. Plus they are mainly (only) recruiting from their intern classes.

When are the planned starting dates (ballpark) for the ongoing recruitment? Will this be for summer/fall 2024? Anyone with any insight?

For the funds that are hiring, focuses seem to be centred around sector-specific expertise (Life Sciences, Climate Tech) and/or languages (Nordics, German, French).
What "sector expertise" do funds ask for/want? Ime. Do they want advanced degrees for life sciences etc

Anyone particular in KEA you recommend reaching out to about these processes? Or does reaching out to anyone there work?
I personally don’t reach out to HHs but for KEA, they reached out to me and also did an interview that lasted over an hour. Haven’t had that experience with other HHs, including top ones like Edgeworth and Walker Hamill. Maybe KEA is more selective / have mandates with very specific criteria? Also seems that others in my class haven’t had inbounds from them either.
Would reach out to them via linkedin - if you have a good profile they will be interested in having a conversation.
Do headhunters introduce candidates simultaniously in multiple processes they are running? Have the feeling they only give a couple to spread it among candidates.
You can definitely be pushed into multiple processes. However, a lot of funds have very targeted searches, where they are looking for language skills, sector focus, prior PE experience, target schools or gender. Hence, majority of times, you won't have much overlap in processes ran by the same HH
What classes as prior PE experience? Working at a different PE fund?

Kea just confirmed me they don’t have any KKR mandate. Bridgepoint is only calling Associates only, and Permira is on Hold

Prospect intruding here, apologies. I'm confused - how are PE firms requiring >=1yr PE experience for Associate roles? Is this basically a filter for PE->PE lateral hires? Or people with off-cycle experience? I don't see how anyone who isn't continental European with gap years and/or Masters degrees could achieve 1yr of PE experience before joining IB.
Yeah they want people with previous full-time PE experience. Nobody cares about internships. Is it that surprising?
Correct. They are looking for already promoted associates in IB, and sometimes with OC/other stints in PE before.
In case you haven't figured this out already, multilingual Europeans with >18 months of OC internships have a huge advantage in PE recruiting in LDN.
Heard from HU that KKR is extremely selective and they have in mind exactly the candidate they want… any idea what are the criteria?
Female from GS, to a lesser extent JPM / lots of Italian speakers generally. 1.5 - 3 years experience max
Yes. In general there’s a strong preference for hiring women across all firms.
It's honestly become such a big emphasis. Heard one large fund last year waited 12 months to recruit a female and turned down all the male candidates in that time...

The girl they hired (I think) was an analyst at Silver Lake. If a firm does not need an associate asap, it is a logical choice to take your time with recruiting and be very selective based on requirements such as gender.

Not quite right. LPs want to fundraise their own funds in particular I assume many of which are from government piles. So they want total marketability which is returns + marketing

Yes, looking for candidates with 2-4 years of experience. Historically, they have been focussed on bankers with all their junior team member coming from banking.
