Based on last years timeline I think sometime in August/September. Finally went back to right as you hit the desk (vs the prior 2 years during covid on cycle was much more delayed).
CPI will send an email in July once analysts arrive to training indicating that it’s only for introduction meetings, then 5 days later MFs will kick off, so I’d expect it in mid/late July when the liberal arts majors in your banking class are staying late during training trying to understand how to calculate accretion
...looks like soon "on cycle" private equity offers will be going out at the same time that junior summers accept their FT IB offers after graduation. wild.
BX is holding coffee chats the first week of June apparently. If the past few years are any indication, interviews should kick off right after that (or during it).
This is wild. I still don't think the process actually kicks off until most 1st years have hit the desk, or else they just won't have enough people participating, but I'd start studying. CPI sent us emails with their resume portal on a Tuesday or Wednesday in late August last summer - by Monday, I was sitting in an interview.

Why would they care about calculating accretion for a PE interview?
Whoosh
How do you know HHs have already reached out?
I've gotten some outreach emails from them.
What were the emails about? Are you at a BB?
But people haven’t hit the desk yet…

Were invites sent out already? This is the first I’ve heard - attend target.
^where did you hear about this?
Jesus…. Gotta start studying.
Sorry I’m a rook what’s an HH, and can someone explain the context ?
Head Hunter. And the context is first year analysts being on cycle for pe recruitment.
