2026 Recruiting *ssholes
Now that 2026 recruiting is finishing most places, let’s hear some stories of companies that treat candidates poorly. Obviously firms will always be in the position to act (almost) however they want, but the same ones expect thank you notes to 6 different interviewers.
I’ll start-
Family office: had me do a 2nd round case study and modeling test, said they’d review it within X weeks multiple times, never did and ghosted follow ups.
KKR: offered a reasonable ADA accommodation during the hiring process, didn’t honor it, ghosted follow ups.
