Haha I'm sure I can handle the case, but seeing precedents to gauge scope / approach that HFs prefer would be great - first time interviewing on the liquid side of investments. Can you help out?
There is no universal approach to the actual case studies. There are good approaches and bad approaches, but really, the discussion you have in interviews around said work matters more. Spend time thinking critically about inputs in revenue build, thinking about price/volume dynamics in the industry and what that means for durability, margins, mkt share w/e.
In terms of standard model cases/tests, you will be given an incomplete statement or asked to build one. It's very simple, 3 statements, tie most stuff to revenue growth. If you're in PC, this should be a breeze. Wouldn't worry about it.
