Your best bets are places like the IFC. There's also a group in DC, Delphos International, that does emerging markets work. I'd probably start there. I know I've heard of NYC based groups and funds but I don't know them off the top of my head, and I'm also sure there are some local financial institutions and in South Africa that lend across Africa but I don't know them personally.
