Am I crazy for leaving?

I am currently a junior at an extremely niche investment fund. I don’t like the asset class, but the WLB is phenomenal. I am thinking about leaving as I am only learning a specific niche focus and do not want to be in that. A bit of background, I currently am working 45-50 hours a week. Cash comp is $160-$170K all in this year. Am I crazy to leave this set up?

You're too young to be doing something you don't like. WLB is great and good cash comp with good WLB is great but learning things, particularly about things that will get you out of bed for the rest of your career, is great too. If you stick around doing the same thing that you don't really enjoy all day long (or at least 9-5), you might be pretty unhappy a few years from now.

On the other hand, if it's pretty tolerable and just doesn't fill you with joy but you're getting great fulfilment in the free time that you have as a result of the WLB... well that's pretty great and maybe something to hang onto. Depends on if pigeonholing yourself into this niche strategy / asset class is worth it to unlock other things in your life.
