Any +5B PE funds recruiting for 2024 start?

Obviously missed the oncycle but is anybody aware of offcycle recruiting for 2024? Have reached out to main HHs but only came across Sycamore, which I am not interested - just wanted to do a reality check. Thanks.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, I don't have any specific updates on which firms are currently recruiting for a 2024 start. The process is constantly changing and it's best to keep an eye on the WSO forums for the most recent updates.

Remember, off-cycle recruiting can be a bit more unpredictable than on-cycle, so it's important to stay proactive. Keep reaching out to headhunters, networking, and preparing for interviews. You never know when an opportunity might pop up.

And hey, don't forget to keep your spirits high. The finance jungle can be tough, but remember, even a monkey like me made it!

From what I’ve seen/heard most MF/UMM/reputable MM firms typically finish their “off cycle” 12-18 months before start date (I.e., the last of the 2024 start recruiting for those firms ended summer of 2023)

Ofc there are exceptions but largely that seems to be the trend. All of that to say I think the ship on what you are looking for in terms of 2024 start may have sailed. That being said there are probably still some smaller MM and LMM players you can get for 2024 start or you can always aim for 2025 start (imo a year here and there means nothing across an entire career).

either way best of luck

Various funds are still recruiting. Check in with the key HHs and send them your updated resume and they will show you solid opportunities. Don’t know how many 5B+ are actively hiring right now but there have been a number of 2.5B+ funds hiring in recent months.
