Any word on Clearlake?

Seems like Clearlake has been generating a lot of heat lately with their 7bn fund close and they’ve deployed a ton of capital in the last year. Anyone have some more color on the firm?  Not a lot on the forum so curious to hear any insights on strategy, industry focus, sourcing model, reputation and culture. Thanks!

I think they are notable for not hiring right out of IB. They will hire Associates 2 years out of another PE firms ASO program. Pay is probably incredible (there have 2 billionaires at a firm that doesn't have more than ~15-20 IPs), but have no real insights.

Probably not relevant to you, but from a sell-side advisor perspective, they only hire the bank that sold the company to them.
