Anyone know of funds that were started by a collective of CEOs or executives?
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to see if there is some sort of trend where people who have previously held C-level jobs join forces to start a private equity practice. I say practice and not fund because the creation of a multi-family office focused on direct investments would also fit my criteria.
Many seed or early-stage VC firms fit the bill for this, particularly in the Valley. PE is tougher because you actually have to understand finance / transactions
Wouldn't the CEO of an acquisition happy business be in a great position to lead a PE firm? It's not like VP/Principal and above really get down and dirty with the numbers
