Anyone regret leaving boutique for larger firm?

Does anyone regret leaving a boutique PE firm where the WLB is great, partners mentor you, there is a path for promotion but it is very very small?

Potential future firm is much larger, somewhat well known, but hours can be brutal, pay is a bit better, but potentially better opportunities in the future given size and growth

Figured my best chance is to leave now as an associate because it will be much harder in the future if I want to move up markets.

leave great WLB / strong mentorship for marginally better pay, potentially brutal hours, and the resources of a larger firm? If someone described that scenario to you, what advice would you give them? I cant directly answer your question, but I can state you would be a crazy person to jump for the reasons listed in your original post.
