If you asked me to provide you with some form of seed capital while still working at my shop I would ask you why you have enough time to create a cash-flow generating start-up with great growth and tell you to get back to work. If you worked at my shop for a few years, demonstrated real credibility, and decided to leave to work on a start-up I could see someone funding your operation from GP dollars.
