Title really says it all. I work at a small shop where I do the basic industry and company research on various niche industries. Minimal access to subscription sites, and the ones I do have access to almost never turn up anything relevant to my search. Any advice or guidance would be much appreciated.

INC magazine does their annual top 5000 fastest growing firms. You can typically source revenue (self-reported), industry, location, and management info. A good place to start for companies that may need more capital soon (debt or equity).

Does anyone know how useful this would be for pulling small private companies? Our fund primarily targets companies 25MM in revenue.
Not very. I'd love some other suggestions as well. We look at similar sized companies for rollup targets.
