Beware GoBuyside
Just a friendly heads-up. I signed up for GoBuyside out of curiosity and selected the "invite contacts" feature thinking it, like LinkedIn, would comb my email contacts and suggest people I might want to connect with. Not so. Instead, it send invitations with my name and profile picture to everyone in my contact list.
Be weary of GoBuyside and especially of its contacts feature.
Ah, that explains why I get so many random GoBuyside invitations from first year analysts I rarely speak to
