Blue Owl
Pretty interesting. Looking forward to seeing what happens, as the Owl Rock guys can't push out the Dyal guy, and the Dyal guy doesn't want to resign

Have you seen dyal's returns? Absolutely terrible, especially the earlier stuff that did HF managers.
I'm not sold on Dyal's strategy, but Dyal 1 and 2 were focused on HFs and were absolutely terrible, but funds 3/4/5 have been PE focused and funds 3/4 have strong returns (5 too early). That being said, not sure how they ever really get exit liquidity.
Can someone paste the article though? thank you.
They even admit this as it's the first question a sane LP would ask. They didn't have any answers to this question, automatic see ya later for me on the LP side. Just screams shiny new asset class that will have a lot of issues down the road.
Out of the loop on this. What about their strategy makes liquidity more difficult than any other non-listed investment? They're just taking minority stakes in asset management companies, no?
