Boutique PE consulting -> MM PE?

Hey all, wanted to ask you if it is possible to break into MM PE? If so, how do I so? Should I reach out directly to headhunters when on-cycle starts? How does the process look like?

Going to a boutique consulting firm doing exclusively PE work.

Any insights and help would be appreciate it. Thank you!
