BREDS vs Ares REPE vs MSREI vs GSAM REPE

Hi all, Very fortunate to have gotten to late stage/offer with these 4 firms in either a summer or OC capacity - wondering what your thoughts are for starting off in RE (Europe) if the goal is to do equity underwriting (Acquisitions/Development). Im a dutch + italian speaker if it helps (but focusing on London for now) Thanks!

I’d say BREDS if you want SS mezz experience early on but would take other offers and make it clear to HH’s you had a BX offer and that you want to lateral to t1 REPE (Starwood/KKR/APO)

Hey thanks for replying - do you think I should take a FT at BREDS if they gave it? Assuming I only had Ares for an OC/summer

Are you interested in working in real estate credit? Take BREDS.

Are you interested in working in real estate equity? They're all pretty much equivalent, take whichever one has the coolest people.

Thanks for the input but I objectively just dont think this is true?

BX RE is a significantly better platform than all the other 3, perhaps combined their respective recent equity fund raises dont match BX. Im asking because whilst BREDS is still BX, it isn’t quite equity - but if my goal is equity underwriting, I wonder if the RE seniors think it’s worthwhile to take name over considerations of debt vs equity early on, or whether I should pick the other 3

Thanks - is this true for Europe would you say?

Also, is BREDS => top REPE possible down the line?
