Brookfield PE and CPA Questions

Hello All,

I am in my second year of university in Canada. I just accepted an offer at BAM. BAM seems to be looking for accountants and lawyers from the majority of the people I have networked with and what I was told within the interview process. I am curious if anyone has any insight after you get your CPA how do you make it onto the deal team. What is the salary like at BAM for an analyst or associate? I will be sacrificing a better salary from not working those two years in IB. But is the professional designation worth it. What is the pay like during those two years of obtaining your CPA?

I have an opportunity to get my CPA paid for by BAM, is this a reasonable route bypassing the IB - PE traditional route. Curious if we have any CPAs out there in PE. What has been your experiences been? Do you have the same earning power and learning.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
