Buyside internship

Hi folks -

Considering whether to accept an opportunity to support a LMM PE fund raising its first fund in 2026 (currently operating deal by deal). I have been told base case shouldn't be that I get a return offer, but assuming everything goes well - both fundraising and performance it could happen. I will help both fundraising and deal execution.

Downside is they are paying minimum wage, and 5 days a week in the office so tricky to interview elsewhere.

For context, I am wondering whether I am wasting my time - I am in my mid 30s, currently unemployed and would not get an investing role other than through a route like this (independent sponsor being more flexible). I would go into IR/Advisory with a FT, proper salary as Plan B.

Thanks
