Career Switch

Was at a LMM zombie fund. Did 4-5 deals in the $50-$100mm EV range. Performed well and was promoted to Senior Associate, but had to move as there was no future at the fund. Had a difficult time recruiting in PE given market conditions, so I recently made the switch to large cap Corp Dev. I realized it was a mistake and would like to move back into PE. Should I explore a top tier MBA (HBS, Wharton) or should I try to go keep trying to go directly back to PE? For context, it has been less than 3 months in Corp Dev. Thanks for the advice!
