Disclaimer: Don't know anyone there but have worked with them
They're pretty smart guys, like to dig into "hairy" deals (carve-outs, distressed, turn-arounds, etc.). It's a relatively large platform (although PE is not their only investment strategy) and they look across a pretty broad industry list, so it is likely a similar experience to other upper MM funds. Culture-wise seems a bit tough (comparison that comes to mind for me is Apollo), with lean teams and not an overly friendly vibe. They have an operations team that they often leverage for portfolio companies but I still think that the investment team stays pretty involved in portfolio company management.
